Product Spotlight: Glitter Cuts

Happy 2009! I hope you had a wonderful time ringing in the new year! I thought I would start the year with a little bling by focusing on our Glitter Cuts! They are perfect for adding that extra special something to your paper crafts. Below is our Label Flourish, just one of the many beautiful Glitter Cuts we offer.

Glitter Cuts - Label Flourish

Denine Zielinski used the Label Flourish on her "Happy" layout shown below. Notice how she cleverly used the Glitter Cut. She placed it behind her photos, actually hiding the label portion, allowing the flourishes to show, which beautifully frame the photos! Did you notice how the color of the Glitter Cut so perfectly compliments the dark orange on the hat and scarf that Denine's son is wearing? Don't you just love little details like that?!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check back on Monday to see the latest "Fancy This" project! Have a great weekend everyone!

Fancy This: Photo Box

I'm the type of scrapbooker that prints my own photos, and only as I scrapbook them; which means, many of my favorite photos just stay on my computer's hard drive, unseen. Our talented designer, Denine Zielinski has the perfect solution with this gorgeous Photo Box that she created. Denine says, "I often lose track of those pictures that are my favorites, so I decided to create this ahead of time. I will add copies of my favorite photos to the box as I take them!" I love Denine's idea and I can't wait to make my own! I know my children will love looking through a box filled with our favorite photos throughout the year!

Fancy This: Tree Topper

My daughter could not wait to put the tree up after Thanksgiving this year. I was pretty anxious, too. So, the morning after Thanksgiving, off we went to select our tree. We spent the rest of the day decorating the house, listening to Christmas music, and putting the ornaments on the tree. Once the ornaments covered our tree (or at least covered the bottom half - you can tell little hands helped), we put on the star. It's always the last thing we put on. My husband always lifts my daughter up so she can reach to put it on top. The finishing touch.

Check out this beautiful tree topper Nikki Bellish created. She never could find one she really liked, so she made her own! And you can too!

Product Spotlight: Happy Holidays Patterned Paper

Christmas is just one week away! Can you believe it? I just love this time of year...for so many reasons. One of those reasons is the fabulous Christmas decor that can be seen everywhere! Ronda Pallazzari used patterned papers from our Happy Holidays collection to create some wonderful Christmas trees! These trees are so cute and easy to create. They would make a great gift for someone and would be a fun project to do with your children.

Ronda says, "I love decorating for the holidays, and I love making crafts. Good thing these two go hand in hand. I used the Happy Holidays line to create these little trees. They are three different sizes of styrofoam cones covered with patterned paper. To top off the trees I used a chipboard star, a felt star, and an acrylic star."

So, when these printed chipboard letters from the Daily Grind collection, debuted at CHA this summer, I was all over them. They are funky and whimsical ... and self-adhesive! Take a look at these fun layouts using these super-cool alphas.

Fancy This: Mini Photo Board

Christmas is such a magical time of year. There are so many wonderful things to look forward to—spending time with family, decorating the tree, homemade baked goods, eggnog, snow and candy canes. The thing I look forward to the most is seeing the wonder in my kids faces, especially on Christmas morning. Those little expressions are ones I'll cherish for years to come. Here, Allison Davis shows us a fun and simple way to display some of the candid moments of the season. Wouldn't this be a great gift for the grandparents?
