My make n take for this online crop is an easy-to-make tag calendar. You could use 7 tags or 13 tags. My sample uses 13 shipping tags. I created a birthday tag calendar to help me keep track of peoples' birthdays. The tags are secured by a binder ring, although you could use ribbon or fiber to secure the calendar.

If you use 7 tags, the front of the 1st tag will be your cover with your title. The back of the 7th tag will be your end cover. There will be 12 inside "faces" to represent each month.

If you use 13 tags, the front of the 1st tag will be your cover with your title. The back of the 13th tag will be your end cover. There will be 24 inside "faces" with 2 "faces" to represent each month.

If you choose not to do a calendar, you could also create a mini album, a book of your favourite quotes, recipes, etc. You could also use different sized or different shaped tags. For this project to qualify for points, however, you will need to use at least 7 tags. Deadline for this project will be 10 am PST Sunday January 21st.

I will draw a name from all those who qualify and send out a RAK!

Instructions:

1. Assemble 7 or 13 shipping tags together. Here is a template you can download if you don't have any shipping tags.

http://www.lovebugscrapbooking.com/secure/store/images/crop/anna_tag_template.pdf

2. Cut out assorted patterned papers the same dimensions as the tags, and adhere on each side of the tag. Ink the edges if desired. Punch a hole on each tag (use the shipping tag as a guide).

3. To create the calendar dates, you have several options:

- use a calendar stamp if you have one (my sample uses Technique Tuesday). Stamp on cardstock & cut out;

- download and print this generic calendar template I created on 8.5x11 cardstock. You can also use transparency and vellum:
http://www.lovebugscrapbooking.com/secure/store/images/crop/anna_calendar_template.pdf

- if you have Microsoft Excel, go to this link and download this template for 2007 calendar (thanks Heidi for this link!). Print and cut out.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC100363391033.aspx?CategoryID=CT101425251033

- or just draw your own calendar Smile

3. Adhere your cut-out calendar months on each face of the tag. Embellish with assorted flowers, chipboard alphabets, etc. If you use 13 tags, you'll have an extra "face" to embellish. You can add photos or quotes or song lyrics. In my sample, I just adhered a stamped "Important Details" (Fontwerks) lined note where I can write down peoples' birthdays.

4. Secure your tags using a large binder ring. That's it!

Here are more images of my calendar:

January

March

May

If you have any questions, let me know. Have fun!

I kinda wish I had of know this was going to be a calendar in advance... I would have been more picky with my paper selections (more seasonal appropriate).

I made mine as a quick review mini album for this year - leaving space for a photo and some point journalling... this is an awesome project.

the inside - I've done this months already Smile

and the cover - showing all tags. I made a lanyard for it to hang by..
