Whether you placed an official baby announcement in your local paper or you just sent out some announcements to friends and family when your baby was born, this is something you may want to add to your baby scrapbook. You can do so by using a baby announcement photo layout. If you are not really sure where to begin, here are a few ideas you may want to use for your baby announcement photo layout.

Add a Frame

If you have the announcement of your baby's birth, you may want to add a frame to it to make it look a bit more polished. You can purchase photo frames at scrapbooking stores or you can even create them on your own. Of course you don't have to go with a frame. You can add a matte to the announcement for a clean, polished look as well.

Title Your Page

Usually you have some type of title for your scrapbook pages, and when it comes to a baby announcement photo layout, you will probably want to go with something simple like "It's a Boy." Remember, you are announcing your new baby, so the title portion of the page should be an exclamatory announcement.

Add Some Photos

Since this is a page surrounding the birth announcement, you'll probably want to add some newborn pictures to the page. Usually you'll want to add their first hospital photo if you had one done, or even adding some newborn pictures that you took yourself is a great idea as well. No doubt you have many photos from this time, but you'll just want to go with a couple of your favorites.

Embellishments

Of course embellishments can do a lot for your baby announcement photo layout as well. Whether you create your own layout or find one somewhere to use, you'll definitely want to enhance it with embellishments that go along with the page. Using stickers with a baby theme, baby block letters, and a variety of other embellishments can really make your page in the end.

Journaling

When you're doing the page for the baby announcement, you should definitely leave yourself some room for journaling. You can use this area to write about the delivery day, how it all went, and how you felt when you first saw your little baby for the first time. This will add something very special to your page.

As you can see, there is a lot you can do with your baby announcement photo layout. Even though it may seem like a difficult task, it's probably easier than you think to start a nice scrapbook, and starting off with the baby announcement is a great way to get started. So, if you're ready to start a scrapbook, design or find a great baby announcement photo layout and get started today.
