New Scrapbook Ideas

Many people who scrapbook know that once you get going, there are only so many ideas you can come up with to create new, fun pages for your scrapbooks. Sometimes, you end up noticing that you are using the same old ideas over and over again. Without new ideas for your scrapbook hobby, you will probably get tired and give up.

There are times when you don't want to make a standard scrapbook. You may have an event that you want to immortalize but don't want to go through the effort of making a standard size scrapbook. After all producing a full scrapbook does take time. This is where the use of a mini scrapbook comes in.

We’re spending the weekend in Pine Top and Show Low, Arizona. Last night our friends, Rhonda and Kelly, got married in the woods outside of a cabin. It’s been a fun and relaxing time with the kids and with friends. And with my camera.

Quilt pages look complex but are easy to put together. Here is a quick idea for that unique scrapbook layout: Measure your page (square pages are the easiest to work with), and divide the width and length into thirds, and round down the measurements. Cut nine squares to fit. For example a 12 x12" page would need nine 3.5" x 3.5". squares. Arrange the squares on the page three by three. Then, using a template or cutting tool, crop five photos into circles or hearts. Place a photo in the middle square and on each of the corner squares. Of course any quilt page is not complete without the addition of pigma pen 'stitching'.

Are you bamboozled by all the free scrapbooking ideas out there? I must admit there's a lot to choose from. But don't be greedy. get what you need and if your purchase comes with bonuses that you don't need, just pass them on to other scrappers.

Scrapbooking today is no longer restricted to cutting and pasting material out of old books, magazines or newspapers although these may still be the more inexpensive option. In the age of computers, it would be quite peculiar not to see them being utilized for a hobby like Scrapbooking.

If you're anything like me then most of your scrapbooks become scrapbooking pet pages. I have 3 cats, Blue ( a British Blue), Sasha ( a tortoiseshell) & Kismet ( the big, black bruiser & the baby!) Since my son left home these have quite sadly become my children and I avidly follow their antics.
